Lizzie + Joaquin – Korakia Palm Springs Wedding

Lizzie and I go way way waaaaaaay back to our fun filled days of being single and pool party hopping.  So you can only imagine how excited I was when she asked me to photograph her wedding in Palm Springs that would later turn into a pool party reception!  And what a treat that was considering it was about 104 degrees during the ceremony.

If you haven’t been to the Korakia Pensione, I highly recommend packing a bag and heading over there ASAP.  It was by far one of the most gorgeous, relaxing places I have ever visited.  At first I was a little bummed they didn’t have a TV in the room.  However it was a great way to get friends and family to gather out by the pools to reminisce until the wee hours of the night.

Lizzie and Joaquin – it was so good to spend time with you both.  I am super honored that you chose me to photograph such a special, intimate day.  I can’t wait to see you again!

Family – A real life session

Growing up I was always very close to my family and siblings.  I was a home body and just wanted to sleep in my own bed.  I was that kid that would go to a friends house for an overnight stay and ended up crying for my mom at midnight begging her to come get me.  I would fake being sick at school camping trips just so I could leave early.  I absolutely hated being away from home. Even now, there is nothing quite like that feeling of comfort and familiarity I get when I go to my parents.

Recently I discovered that I really enjoy doing in-home family sessions.  There is something so intimate and special about photographing special milestones in someones house.  Sometimes its nearly impossible to leave the house with a new baby and often times, kids just like being in their element with their toys and their things.

Don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE natural, outdoor photography sessions but I think I was underrating the simplicity of shooting indoors.  I was intimidated and worried about the lack of control I had over the environment.

This is a collection of images from one of my most recent and favorite family sessions yet and  I can’t wait to do more of these “real life sessions.”

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the details of their home, but my favorite is the whole family on the bed and you’re shooting from the hall. seeing that door partially open and seeing them all wrapped up in each other is heartwarming and intimate. Love it!

DeAna + Brendan – Vibiana Wedding {Downtown Los Angeles}

Oh hello there!  We are back in the swing of things over here after taking a few months off for maternity leave.  This wedding was the perfect welcome into what is sure to be our best year yet!

DeAna and Brendan were such a delight to work with!  I know I say this all the time but it’s couples like this that really remind me of why I love what I do.  I am insanely fortunate.

Here are a few favorites from their gorgeous pink & white wedding at the stunning Vibiana located in Downtown Los Angeles.

Of course this was all made possible by this group of amazing vendors…
