First of all, thank you to everyone for all the love on the last blog post! I am thrilled to see the comments left and happy to know I am not alone out there. =)
Over the weekend I had the (amazing) opportunity to second shoot a wedding with Scott Reynolds in Santa Barbara at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel! This was my second time ever second shooting a wedding so I was pretty nervous because I didn’t want to disappoint Scott (shocker).
The whole day was just perfect. The weather was beautiful, the couple was awesome and Scott and I really jived when it came to shooting together.
I am so grateful that I had the chance to work with another well established photographer. I’ve photographed a couple dozen weddings myself… completely self taught with only one assistant job under my belt so I really took this as an opportunity to learn and absorb what I saw.
It was neat seeing how another photographer approaches a wedding shoot. I really enjoyed the whole experience…. watching how he interacted with the couple, bouncing ideas off each other, cross checking settings, suggesting poses and shooting locations to one another. It was nice seeing things through a different perspective. I truly hope to work with him again.
Thank you Scott for letting me share some of my favorite images from the day!
Christine personally invited the President and First Lady to their wedding. Unfortunately they were unable to attend but they did send a hand signed letter of congratulations to the happy couple! How crazy is that?!
How beautiful is Christine’s dress?! I died over her veil too!
I feel in love with the soft, romantic color palette of pale pinks and grey.
A polka dotted and chevron stripped cake! Seriously, one of the best I have ever had too… you KNOW I stayed an extra hour just to get my piece.
